Ways to volunteer
Samantha’s House was started by some passionate people that wanted to do their part in changing the world and helping the disadvantaged. If you share that same passion, the foundation is always looking for ways to utilize individual’s skills and talents to further the vision. There are many ways that you can get involved. We have the following teams that you can join in on.
Fundraising and Development Team – This team is an exciting group of people who aren’t afraid to reach out and connect with people. The Fundraising and Development Team will facilitate strategic fundraising objectives which may include things like meeting with potential contributors and sponsors, coordinating and distributing fundraising communications, and researching/applying for grants.

Family Selection Team – Our Family Selection Team is responsible for reviewing all of our nominations that are submitted. In addition, they are the group that will meet with and prepare the selected families for the building or renovation process. If you are deeply passionate about this type of work, then this is the place for you.

Family Nurturing Team – The people on this team are dedicated to working with our families throughout the building or renovation process. They are the people who will field questions and help prepare the families for a successful transition. In addition to the nurturing during the process, each family will be assigned an advocate that will maintain connection with the family through the first year after completion of their project. A love for people and one-on-one connection with the families is essential for this team.

Administrative Team – This is for the folks who love the details and keeping things organized. Our Administrative Committee will handle all the back office type operations including mailing our letters, filing, and special projects as they arise.

Special Events Team – Every year, Samantha’s House hosts a golf tournament and dinner. There are also opportunities for other creative events. The Special Events Team is responsible for all components of the special events from conception to invitation to execution to follow-up. If your passion is hosting and serving others through great events, then this is the place for you.
